Ride Summary:
This is a multi-use area that is a maze of trails made by motorcycles & ATVs.
Trail Description:
Royal Blue is also known as Koppers Wildlife Management Area. It's nearly 50,000 acres multiuse wilderness area. The trails range in rideability but you'll definitely find something you like. Bring a compass or any map you can find. Odds are you will get lost at some point. From I-75, you can ride 10 miles to the Walnut Mountain Towers, or make a loop via Short Mountain. Otherwise just explore but give yourself plenty of daylight.
How to get there:
Take exit 141 from I-75, head East and park.
Additional Notes:
Ride in the dry season. Avoid during hunting season (Oct to Dec) or wear at least 500 sq inches of orange material

Just been on this with the atv's, but some great trails... i went when it was really muddy after a hard rain, altogether flipped the 500 4 times and the 700 1 1/2 times trying to get up this slippery damned rock shelf! Advice for bikers....don't go on a rainy day! I about got killed :)... Luckily those handlebars are extremely strong and kept 750 pounds from landing on top of me.

For those interested in investing in this great area and its trails, there is an apartment building for sale in nearby Briceville. Would make a great lodging spot for trail riders; has covered parking. Email sellreal@bellsouth.net for location.
