Trail Description:
This is a fun, but easy ride. It can get a bit challenging during the dryer months as the trail tends to get pretty loose and sandy. Some of the sand is a real challenge to ride through.

How to get there:
From Tallahassee take Monroe Street South for about 9 miles to the St. Marks preserve. Park in the preserve lot.

Additional Notes:
A handy feature of this ride is that there is a bike shop in the parking lot. How cool is that?

Sandy singletrack through Florida Pines. A great place to go fast on your hardtail (or Cannondale Scalpel). It's unusual in that it seems wide open and you can see a long way but you're still in the shade. Lower your tire pressure, lean back and power through the sugar sand. (watch out for the maniac on the Merlin)

Good sugar sand trail through piney woods. Passes near a small pond and several sink holes. Not much elevation change.

Nice bike trail through pine woods. 7miles total, can shortcut halway though. Very easy, good for beginners.

This trail is great for a good workout. You've got an 8 mile loop or a 4.5 mile shoter loop. Not very technical except maybe for the white powdery sand. Great for night rides in winter. From parking lot, loop and back will take an average rider about 1 hour.

Fast trail after rain. 12 or so miles of marked trails, and 20+ miles unmarked, mostly old moto trails, some long forgotten. Great place to ride at night in winter. Again, best after rain.

nice trail still, the bike shop is gone. The trailhead is about a mile south of the St Marks Trail parking lot.

I rate this trail very high cause ive learned to ride loose sand, very well.i ride really wide tires, and low pressure for this trail.over the years the trail has worn into a perfect 1/8 th pipe with berms on every turn and lots of bike size hills and chutes and its a hoot to ride like a 8 mile alpine slide except equal in up hills and down hills, lots of other little trails too,so you could get 4 hr ride in there if you learn the aux. trails too.trail is more than 12 years old nice and smoothe except for the bumpy spots.
