I wasnt blown away by Owls roost, but appreciated the speed and flow of the trail. It offers serene, lakefront riding--perfect for a lunchtime or afterwork ride. There are other trails linked to this network by either the greenway or cross trails.

This trail is not a beginner trail. I would say this trail is for riders that enjoy great switchbacks, fast blind turns, as well as your occasional fallen tree, rooty climbs. Oh ya and more roots! Enjoy....

This trail is not for beginners. The trail offers great technical as well as fast riding sections. I would recommend this trail for novice-advanced riders. You wouldn't neccessarily want to bring children who don't have much experience riding on this one.

Great trail, Roots and switched backs kept it interesting. Could be better marked.

This is a beginners trail for the areas of the Big Loop Trail or Little Loop Trail (which I've seen people confuse as being Owl's Roost) as for Owl's Roost, OH MY GOODNESS! This trail scared the crap out of me in quite a few areas. The group I was with started out on the Big Loop Trail near the park entrance with a play ground close by and road that to the Lake Brandt greenway and then jumped on Owl's Roost. There are lots of technical stuff and fun things if you're brave enough to do it. There are alot of alternate roots avoiding obstacles that the more experienced riders can handle. Enjoy!

It is not a beginner trail..It is a good ride. The roots are more negotiable when carrying some speed to them. Trail needs to be marked better. I am not from here and rode approx. 5.2 miles and came out on a road and had no idea which way to go from there.

Not a beginners trail. It is also a loop if you come out on the greenway. I would rate it as the best Greensboro trail, not as hard but more fun than Bald Eagle.

Definitely NOT a beginner trail. The Greenway is a beginner trail.
