Trail Description:
Riding the ridge from Damfino Lakes Trail head to the trails peak at 5200' a reward of one of the best panomramic views the Cascades have provided me. As the last few years have past more bear have moved into the area. In one ride I got to see three bears. You slip throught the fields that Julia Andrews sang the Song of Music. It is also said that a adventurous New Yorker went out there saw a bear got scared and left his Ti ride out there...I'm still lookin'!

Once you see the Boundary Way Trail Sign turn left and your on your way down 4.5 miles to the peak, and another 4.5 down. The end brings you to one of only three options. Go N. go to prison. The g-men lurk in these woods you are less then 150 ft from from the Canadian MP fondle one another on the other side. Both waiting for those pot smok'in snowboard'in hippy freaks with rings stuck everywhere. Burn them all! South will put you on on 3140 which runs you back to the road (31) ((Canyon Creek Rd.))you came out on. Where you cross the first bridge. You can take the two track back. It runs with the Noocksack. However, I would take the third to turn around and add another 9 miles of singletrack.

How to get there:
I-5 N. to 256 Sunset Dr. / Mt. Baker Hwy (542) After leaving Glacier you will pass the fine establishment. The Chando is not a place to take mother, but worthy of going to carve in the bar or have your dogs drink there with you. Less then a .5 mile you will cross a bridge over Canyon Creek. Take your second left and go 22miles to the trailhead.

Your directions leave a little to be desired. I didn't realize that you yanks can't talk real good.

I rode this trail years ago and it rained the entire time. Still had fun though sloshing through the mud and such. The ride across the meadows is worth the effort, exposed and beautiful. Beware of hikers on this route.
