Trail Description:
Harrison Bay is 4 1/2 miles of mostly singletrack. In the summer when the trail is dry, it is very fast. It is a good trail for beginners, but experienced riders like it too because you can really get some speed up. The trail is not difficult but it is twisty and has some blind curves. In the winter and spring it can be VERY wet and muddy. Watch out for fallen trees! The loop can be ridden in either direction.

How to get there:
From Chattanooga: Drive north on Highway 58 until you see the Harrison Bay State Park sign and turn onto Harrison Bay road. Follow the road to the park entrance.Turn left and go to the boatlanding area near the restaurant and go to the parking lot.

Look for the Bay Point Loop sign at the entrance. You are there!

Additional Notes:
Watch out for the occasional hiker and wildlife.

Descent trail, mostly single track. I live in the chattanooga/hixson area and this is a great local trail. This trail has some great descents and climbs. Lots-o-Mud!!!!----and logs. If your looking for a harder trail in this area, Booker T Washington Park is the way to go.

If you like mud like I do, you'll love this track. It is wide enough to pass someone almost the entire loop. There are two covered benches facing lake Chick that are really nice if you want to take a break from the action. Watch out on blind curves for people coming the other way as the trail head splits about fifty yds. in. I always ride it twice, one way, then the other. Whole families ride this trail so that should tell you all you need to know on the difficulty of it.

It's not a bad ride if you're looking for an easy pace... but whoever told dirtworld that it's 95% singletrack was wrong. It's about 95% doubletrack.
