Ride Summary:
A miniature gem!

Trail Description:
Most people don't realize that out here in the boonies, there are some great mini-trails. I call this a mini trail because it can be covered in about 5 minutes. It's small. You'll want to run it about 10000 times, although if you go all out, you'll only have enough energy to go three or four times. The trail starts at a nice grassy trail, the up a steep, root-covered hardpack line, down more grass (the whoops themselves), and hardpack for the rest of the time. There is also a mini-dh nearby.

How to get there:
Get on highway 2, the big one, then turn off somehow into Lacombe. Ask for directions to the Canadian University College. The trailhead is right across the road from the phys-ed complex. It's good.

Suburbia has taken over and this trail is half the length it used to be after being fenced off. The whoops are still there but they're only going to last you a few minutes at most.

i was in the area, so me and a friend decided to go check out the "little gem". for what it is, and don't expect too much, it's cool. nice little rush down the first hill and then if you go all out down the rest of the path, it's a blast, but your done in like 2 minutes and all of a sudden find yourself in suburbia. only thing is that a lot of the locals use it as a walking trail, so you gotta watch for dogs and craky old ladies who're gonna yell at you and call you a punk :P but if your just lookin for a little fun, great trail
