Trail Description:
This trail network offers some of the best riding in the Boston area. There are more trails than you will be able to ride in a day. There's both fire roads and singletrack of varying difficulties making this a great ride for all skill levels. Exploration is the name of the game as there are so many trails that it will take you several trips to come close to discovering them all. From smooth and gentle to rocky and technical you will find it here.
How to get there:
From Route 495 turn North onto Route 1. Turn right at the first light at the sign for Gilbertville. After about 2.5 miles turn left at the next sign for Gilbertville. After about a mile, park in the lot on the right.

Also known as Foxboro State Forest. A great feature of this place is how fast it dries out after some wet weather. Fabu riding. Park across from the ranger station on Mill St.

I've only ridden the 10 mile "designated" Mtn bike route, but I've done it many times and it is the best trail in Eastern Ma. Some steep climbs and drops, LOTS of rocks, very difficult when wet. If you go counter clockwise the last 2 miles are brutal.

It's called "F. Gilbert Hills" for crying out loud! Well anyway, whatever you want to call it, in my opinion it's New England riding at it's best. Think Vietnam single track but so much more flowing. It's more technical too I think. Lots of technical climbs, crazy rock gardens and steep, loose chutes! Some people have complained that the trails are getting too wide and chewed up, but it seems to me that the added errosion has only uncovered more rocks and made things more technical! This place rules for night riding too! It's close to both 95 and 495 about 30-40min South of Boston. Just look up "Mill St, Foxboro" on Mapquest and you're all set!
