Trail Description:
There are a couple trails here worth exploring. The easier of the two is the Kulioou Valley Trail which can get a bit tricky when it's wet. The other worth checking out is the ridge trail which is a bit more technical. The ridge trail brings you up to the top of the ridge with great views. Both trails offer lots of shad and are loads of fun.

How to get there:
Just before you get to Hawaii Kai heading East turn onto Kulioou Valley road and head into the valley. Go as far up the valley as you can and turn right at the last street. Follow this street up even more to its end and the start of the trail.

I'm new to mountain biking and this didn't work out for me. There were lots of rocks and roots, most of the trail was unridable for me. This is for experienced riders only

The Kuliouou Valley trail is short, sweet and fun! Lots of roots and rocks to make things a bit tricky which adds a whole lot more fun. About 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up the valley trail, there is the trailhead to the Kuliouou Ridge trail on your left.

Can you say rocks? This trail is clustered with'em. A goor ride if you REALLY like technical uphills. This ride will work you, experianced or not. At the picnic area cool down, play on some of the jumps, and let the games begin. Zoom downhill and remember where those switchbacks are, the ride down is worth all the rocks, roots and burning legs. Watch for hikers.
