great paved trail with shoots of offroad adventures. Get onto the paved path and then start exploring the fun singletrack trails that spur off this main path.
How to get there:
The trail is located in Bethpage state park. Trail starts at sign on the right side of the parking lot near the picnic area.

The trail is too easy, but is a good ride, its no where close to free riding. This is a good trail to learn to mountain bike.

I'm a local and used to ride this all the time
in Stillwell. You cannot get lost in stillwell
and will still give you a good workout. There
are plenty technical aspects, rocks, roots,
sand, jumps, birms, and drop outs. This track
always went fast and still keeps it
interesting. Good steep decent going down
to the train trestle. You have to cross one
street to get there. use the parking lot on
Jericho Turnpike between Woodbury rd and
Pathmark? (supermarket). There is usually a
hotdog truck in the lot. Lot's of riders come
out on the nice days, good environment.

This is an excellent trail. It's got something for everyone. There is as much paved road as you could ever want. There are also many trails. The trails are a mix from easy to difficult. There is almost nothing very steep. It's a real fun place to ride.

Bethpage: Been there 3X this week for
DH FIREDRILLS which basically means
cornering, sprinting, log hopping, drops and dirt jumping, sessioning & enjoying short steep DH sections and I gotta say this place is alot of fun.
On the flipside, Bethpage is a great place to bring the family.
Want XC mileage? this place has got that also but you would benefit from a guide.
Dont have a guide?
Check Stillwell Woods.
5 mile track and is hard to get lost. Higher BPM and more chase at Stillwell.
Long Island surprisingly has a mix of
a dozen or so Pro XC and Pro DH racers (must be the water) and 'its hard not to come across a hammerhead in the heart of the hunt.'

One of the best on long island, more like 20 mi of integrated singletrack for all skill levels that is very well kept. If it is thrills you seek go directly to the brickyard, as mentioned above, and hold on to your bars.

If you start from the bethpage park parking lot there is a trail on the right side of the lot. Find the brickyard for a technical singletrack adventure
