Easily the best trail in San Diego, and also one of the most technical. Which, of course, makes the 'weekend warrior' title not only absurd, but a little dangerous to those hitting the trail for the first time. Also, armor clad DH'ers: losers. It's takes a real athlete to ride up.

How they listed this a "weekend warrior" ride and not an "advanced skills" ride is beyond me. This is clearly the best ride in San Diego County and one of the best in the country.

This site has the worst skill ratings and trail descriptions. There are very few riders who could possibly clean (i mean no dabs) this whole ride or even try and almost all of them ride a DH or freeride bike. i have come close but i have also paid the price. super easy to make this ride a loop on the forest road up or one of the side trails. this ride is easily one of the top 3 in San Diego County

For you cross country fans, do not take a shuttle. When you park at the bottom, take the road across the creak and start the climb. When you get to the cattle crossing, turn right and continue up. This is a tough climb, so if you can not handle 20% grades and climbs of over 7 miles, do not try unless you like walking. On this road, you will climb through three topographical changes, and you will see where the trail crosses in a couple spots. When this road ends, you are on the hiway, turn right and look for the parking about .5 miles away on the right (look for the shuttles).

I rode over the T-day holiday, trail seemed to be in great shape. I am not a DHR clad in armor but just because you ride up does not mean that you can now blast down the hill skidding your tires, short cutting the trail and startling hikers and other uphill riders. Yeah, I also ride down with some speed. Maybe you saw me, I am the one who stopped to give right-of-way as you came up, or maybe you heard my bell on that blind corner. These are nice things to do and have, uphill riders and hikers will thank you (hikers especially like the bell) and that helps keep us on this trail.

As of 3/1/00 Noble is still open to bikes however the top section is covered in snow. Scuttlebutt from a ranger is radar guns have been budgeted and citations will be issued especially to those dhr's who shuttle. And thankfully the shuttle service got axed.
