Ride Summary:
A long loop on rocky unpaved roads.
Trail Description:
A half an hour from Patagonia you'll find another section of the Arizona Trail. The ride is mostly on jeep roads littered with big loose rocks. However, there are a few sections of sweet single track that wind through the desert. The nearest "town" is Sonoita. Sonoita is a gas station, bar and general store. There isn't much there. If you are in the area the best place to stay is in Patagonia.
How to get there:
From Tuscon head south east on I-10. Then take Hwy. 83 south. If you reach Sonoita you have gone to far. Trail head is on the right. There are no signs unfortunately. Look for a dirt road with a cattle grade just off the paved road. Park here. From Patagonia go north on Hwy. 82 to Sonoita and take a left on Hwy. 83. Trail head is about a mile up 83.
