A buddy and I arrived at 4:30 excited to ride only to find out that the trail hours are only 10a.m. to 4 p.m.! Bummer as we had driven from GR. We had checked out the website before going out and didn't see specific hours like that posted anywhere...guess they were in one comment posted. They leased the land out to hunters so riders beware!

We used to walk these trails when they were only walking trails about 25 years ago as a scout. they were really scary at night and very secluded. those were the days.

I rode the largest trail (blue) last weekend and it was alright. Marking got confusing around one of the scout camps. Plenty of climbs, but the technical downhills were nowhere in sight. I guess im just let down on all MI trails after riding Oregon and Idaho all summer.

One of the toughest trails in Michigan. just what a mnt bike trail should be!!! Yea there is sand, yea there are climbs. Yes it could be marked better. Don't call them turds just because you did'nt pay your $5.00. (No trail pouching!!) And their happy to have the bikers back!!!

lots of different paths cause confusion and a map even hardly helped! we took the second longest way around and loved the first part but as soon as we turned on the yellow trail it got quite a bit hillier. nice bridges that go over water and loved the obstacles. was a great feeling to master this trail but to be honest i was happy when it was over, mainly due to poor trail markings.

The terrain is sweet, but you can tell its a scout camp. Too bad they have to be stupid about the parking, but ride while you can cuz' they are going to develop it all.

It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail.
Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

This trail system has some great qualities, and some bad ones. The scenery is really cool, and there are a lot of cool ridges that you ride on. The trail is very sanding in spots, including on hills, whick in my opinion stinks! The trail is also poorly marked, and the maps are a pain to read. Overall the trail is pretty cool, but I give it a 3 because of the sand and poor trail markings.

As the other guy said they are turds there. The trail would be great if was managed the right way. I heard people talking about how the land owners don't want the bikers ridding there anymore. If you do ride it bring a map what would have only took a short time turned into an all afternoon event for my dog and I ( knowone was there so I took my dog alright ).

The trail is very narrow at times but the section we rode was a good ride. I suggest finding a map cause we got a little lost. Also get a permit becasue those turds at the scout camp will find your car even on the worst day and leave a ticket for you.
