enjoy. There is also a rough (roots and rocks) fine gravel road (Old Copper Hill Road) that follows the river upstream to Boyd Gap to where you can turn left up a paved road up for about a 1/4 mile then turn right onto Boyd Gap, a single track (steep in spots, hike a bike for me) that leads to Boyd Gap overlook parking lot. If you just hug the tree line to your right you will cross a gated paved road. There you will see Brush Creek Trail that is a blast to ride down with some switch backs that may be intimidating to some novas and hard work coming back up. You can follow this trail pretty much straight through with a few turns that you can pretty much tell which direction the main trail goes. The trail dead ends on a old abandon paved road.. From here you can return the way you came or you turn left up the hill which leads to HWY 64. You can cross the hwy, turn right (West) up the shoulder of the hwy for about ½ mile turn left into Boyd Gap Parking lot. Then you can fly back to the

The Ocoee Whitewater Center is the coolest thing that our great government has ever spent our money on. They took a spot on a beautiful river that was a swimming hole for a rough neck crowd and turned it into an awesome, secure place to go with family and friends to pick-nick and cool off in the river (unless TVA turns the big water valve on, and then I wouldn’t recommend entering river). Then they built about 30 miles of single track trails amongst some exciting logging roads to polish off this gem of Cherokee National Park. Although the trails could be marked better and some good maps would be an asset. Great job U.S. Forest Service!
I wouldn’t consider the Tanasi trail systems single track to be easy by any means and defiantly not for novas riders. However there is lots of wide paved paths for the kids to ride with training wheels, a fine gravel road that follows the river down stream that leads to the Thunder Rock Campground that anyone will be able to navigate and

Then you can fly back to the Whitewater Center down the Boyd Gap and Copper Hill Road. Or you can stay on hwy 64 west for another mile or so to the Whitewater Center.
As you can tell there is something for the whole family to do and ride and that is why I took the time to write this review and I give The Whitewater Center 5 stars. Hope you can go experience it for yourself.
If you would like a tour of any of these trials shoot me a email and lets see if we can go ride some of the best trails in TN.
P.s. if you have small kid keep them close to you. Bears apparently like to eat them.

Lots of work has been done and these trails are comparable to Tsali. A must do for someone in the area looking for a place to ride.

Lots of work has been done to these trails. I live about 2 minutes from them and get to ride them often. Thunder Rock Express is a cool trail, the name says it all, blazin' fast downhill or grunting uphill.

The single track is great. Too much FR though. The map is not very good either. Give yourself a full day so getting lost isn't a problem.
