Just got back from ridin' this today. Its a pretty good network of trails. With some maintenance and some additions of some freeride features, this place could be a jem in the middle of durham. There was one trial that was at least a double black with some high skinnys. Cudos to however built it.

If you are in to some pretty technical riding someone has taken the time to build some very nice sections of ramps and ladders that stretch through a large section of forest. If you enter from church you will go north of Taunton and park on the right hand side of church about 1.0-1.5km past the train tracks. Park on the right and there are a few possibilities. Stick to the left and that will take you north by north east to the dog park and open quary where you can do some dirt jumping and playing around. Go right and there are 3 trails to look for. The first one follows a part of the road back and there is some decent single track. Take the second much harder to spot trail on the right and you should find the ladders and ramps and stuff.Third one is straight ahead and leads into the main trail easy and open. Enjoy and please respect the hard work that went into the equipment there and don't burn it down or smash it like some people have done in the past.

this place is what you call home. this is a bang for your ride trail. it challenges most your mountain biking skills. more people should come out to greenwood to experience it for themselves. its worth a short drive.

Excellent mountain bike trails literally 5 minute ride away. Close to home! i usually start from the westney entrance. head down the main trail near the parking lot and when icome to the bridge i go over and head right. this'll take u up to the main hiking trail that goes up on a slight incline. from there i head to the mini dirt jumps, loop through the chruch st. parking lot, and ride along the trail parallel to the st. at the second entrance from chruch st., if u turn left u'll see a trail that forks int othe woods and off the main hiking trail. thats where the real single track begins! Sick! good loop to build overall endurance and fitness! and if u wanna have some fun, keep an eye out for some north shore surprises.
