Trail Description:
The Tar Hollow State Park is just outside of Chillicothe, Ohio. Riders and equestrians love the maze of trails in the park. Mostly singletrack with a few short steep climbs, technical sections full of rocks, roots and twists and turns.
How to get there:
From Circleville take U.S. Hwy 22 east to Ohio State Hwy 56. Go east on 56 for roughly 14 miles until heading south on Ohio State Hwy 327. Follow until taking a Tar Hollow State Forest and then take a right. Follow road and park below the dam.

great ride but, there is only one trail your allow to ride per ranger station. that trail sits below the dam and starts behind the horse rent-a-center and was pretty much waste of time. if you decide to ride this trail make sure not to take the gravel road next to the horses, there's a little girl there and she will give you hell for being on private land. i drove 60 miles and felt cheated so i went to logan trail. it was 2 miles up hill climb with some danger involved meaning, that there's a couple good drop offs along the trail. i had to get off the bike 3x due to wash out and downed tree limbs. i still like alum creek and velo-z better.

Ross Hollow was incredible, tight climbs and descents, off camber, technical. tried to Ride Logan Trail, too much blow down. A majority of these trails are marked hiking, no one seems to know if it's legal to ride on them or not.

These are some of the best kept secrets of Ohio and we should keep it that way.

I found only two miles of the trail. It was fun but not too challenging. If there are more trails than the one, let me know. I'm going to visit it again in june.
