Devil's Lake State Park

Trail Description:
A good place to start is the short connector trail and Ice Age Loop. Start with a short 1-mile trail that leads to the loop. This trail is a slow, steady climb. Once you get to the loop, pick your direction and ride.

You'll see some nice views on the South side of the loop from the cliffs. Another highlights are some rollercoaster singletrack.

There are lots of other trails here too so ride around and have fun.

How to get there:
From Baraboo, head South on HWY 123 about 2 miles. You'll see the park enterance and information center. Park near the beach and start riding.

If you have never ridden a bike in your life this may be a good start. Anyone else will get really bored really fast.

It's a boring loop. Especially when you see how much terrain is there. However, If you want great climbs and downhills, bring your road bike. There is about 800 feet of elevation change between Merrimac and Devil's Lake.
