Love this park, great for beginners. Agree with the guy who said that Markham should not be rated as more difficult. Oleta is far less dangerous but you can go faster and get more of a cardio workout.

oleta is great park for beginners as well as
advanced riders. they offer bike rentals, helmet
rentals, have a bike wash down station. its the
perfect park for someone who is looking to get into
the sport.
gilligans island is probably one of the best trails in
the state and is one of the newest addition to oleta,
while its not a speed trail, it is very techy and north
shore like.
in my opinion markham is way more advanced than
oleta, but i find oleta to be more of a friendly park
for the new people in the sport

I don't understand why Markham gets rated as "something for everyone" but Oleta gets "advanced skills." From everything I've read about Markham, it sounds above my skill level...but Oleta is definitely in my range right now. I hope this rating isn't scaring people away, because at Oleta there is definitely something for everyone.

As an update to the specs: elevational change is about 12 feet with the exception of the little hill they built (55 feet) for those that enjoy speed and air! There's also an AleHouse right across the street. cheers!

Out of all the parks i have been too, this one rates as one of the top...no doubt a lot of people do as it is always packed on weekends. My Favorites trail is still the Dragon tail. However look out for the AWESOME advanced trail called gilligans island...super tough but tons of fun. its well hidden, i didnt even know it existed until 3 weeks ago! to find, its all the way in the back past the big hill...
