Trail Description:
The Road & Trail Cyclery bike shop has carved out two cool intermediate trails on their property in Oxford, GA. You will find mostly singletrack trails with a bunch of switchbacks and several short climbs including Granny Gear Hill and then Chain Buster Hill. Most intermediate riders can handle the climbs. There are also a few technical sections full of roots but not too many rocks.

The trails are broken down into two sections- The Short Trail which is four miles long and the Long Trail which is the Short Trail plus an addtional 4 mile section.

The Short Trail is good for novice riders although they may have to walk up a couple of the hills.

The Long Trail is more of the same... only 4 miles longer.

How to get there:
From Atlanta take I-20 east to exit 46. Turn left at the end of the ramp and go 2.6 miles. Take a right on Airport Road and follow the signs.

From Lawrenceville, GA take GA20 towards Loganville. In Loganville take GA81 south to Oxford. In Oxford make a left onto Richardson Street. Follow Richardson St to the stop sign. As you cross the road the name changes to Airport Rd. Follow signs to bike shop.

This trail closed a couple of years ago when the bikeshop owner retired. It was a great trail when it was open but they don't allow people to ride on it anymore.

This trail seems to be no longer public. Though there is evidence of the bike shop- there are no more signs and the phone number listed in the Alex Nutt book is disconnected.

I rode this trail and logged the loop at 7.8 miles. There are some technical climbs which are great for training and some very tight areas that were starting to get annoying. The trail head is on the opposite side of the dirt track from the shop. If you rode this trail 3x's a week, in two months you would be a badass.

The trail is about 5 miles and from everybody I have talked to, including myself, it takes about 30-40 min. there are some steep, technical climbs but the trail is fairly easy. most of the clibs except for the chain buster, are good ole' georgia clay, which isnt too fun in the rain.
