Trail Description:
Tight, technical supercross type of trails. Lots of ups and downs. Plenty of jumps. A new section "Snakebite Ridge" will test the best an intermediate rider has to offer.
How to get there:
From Ft. Lauderdale take I-595 west to SW 186 St exit and continue west on State Road 84 (the access road running along side I-595) to Weston Road. The park entrance will be on your right about 3 miles from the exit on I-595.
Additional Notes:
No fee during te weekdays. $1.00 on weekends and holidays.

Green circle course was completely flat hard dirt/rock paths around the lakes. Intermediate was technical with hills and some steeper inclines. Expert was lots of drops with double ledges and narrower bridges. My skill level is advanced intermediate and found the expert trails fun, but had to walk around here and there to get passed some really hard stuff. Even walking I slid down on my butt with some really steep stuff on the expert trails. I could do the expert but didn't want to risk hitting a tree so climbed down the harder stuff. Expert trails are for experts, so I don't blame the trees.

I wouldn't call Markham a park for beginners unless you plan to ride flat trails. For less skilled intermediate riders the intermediate path usually had double path choices around more advances parts. I did not find a single bypass on the expert path. Most of it was hills and steep drops and sharp turns right after the drop. Not for me yet. I like bigger jumps and drops on to straight smooth dirt. The rocks and trees made the expert trail strictly for experts.

a blast to ride. I've ridden oleta and amelia and

Don't listen to Markhom Hater, most of what he said is wrong. This place is usually sparsely populated, and has some great trails and.

I've ridden Oleta and Markham and I'd prefer Markham. A lot less loose rocks and more man made obstacles to test your balancing skills...

One of the Best in Florida. I was really impressed by the technical nature of the trail. This trails will definitely hurt you if you are not prepared. Best to follow someone who knows the park. I feel I am a pretty good rider and I had to walk down a couple of drops !
