Trail Description:
La Tuna has some of the Greatest Single Track in Southern CA. It's a great ride...60% of awsome rocky fireroad, and 40% really rocky/rutty singletrack that has a few very technical parts.
Follow the paved road up for .5 miles, and the fire road climb starts. Once you make it to the top (mile 3.45), turn right, and keep going until you get to mile 5.2. Keep looking at your right, you'll see the singletrack (there is no sign...you have to look for it)
How to get there:
Get on the 210 and exit la tuna Canyon. Parking lot is to the south of the 210...can't miss it.

There is a downed tree at the bottom that we just built a ramp for. It goes over the lowest limb so you don't have to get off your bike any more. Enjoy!

There is no sign at the start of the single track, but there is a single gray reclining chair facing the trail. Go that way!

When you grow up and want to do some serious mountain biking check out Chiquita and the San Juan Trail in Orange County. La Tuna Canyon is for sissies!!!!

The previous poster pretty much nailed it. La Tuna is OK and it's local. Who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of Jay Leno or Otto Lazlo. El P, Sunset and especially Viper off the 14 and San Fernado Road in Santa Clarita is totally sick! Just ask the boys from www.otbmbc.com

Come on now, do you wanna play or get serious? El Prieto and Sunset are the real deal. This trail is totally lame.

We ride from Glendale, near the golf course, over the fireroad to the la Tuna trail. Basically, this is 3 mi. up, 3 across, 3 down and repeat in the opposite direction so Cal Classic!
