Trail Description:
Take the Smarts Brook trail (you have to carry the first 50 feet up some railroad tie steps, then it is all riding. You will be going mostly up hill for 1.5 miles. It is fairly easy technically but with some tough sections. The uphill climb is a bit of a challenge though. Two other trails join from the right keep going on Smarts Brook until you reach the first place where you can turn left. This is the intersection with the Yellow Jacket Trail. Turn left and cross Smarts Brook on a foot bridge. Bear left. Follow the single track down hill to the intersection with Rte. 49, then left on 49 for ½ mile to the parking lot.

How to get there:
Route 93 to exit 28, head East on Route 49 (towards Waterville Valley) and park at the Smarts Brook Trail Parking Area on the right, approximately 5.2 miles from Exit 28.

If you go further down Rt 49 to the Town of Waterville Valley. You can find some trails that will eventually lead you up a fire road to the top of Snow MT. You can ride the ski sloop back down if you dare.
