I've grown up on these trails, Smithfield is my home town and I can assure you they are great. For a variation try going into th rock quarry off the section between Mountaindale rd and route 7. It's over on the left hand side if you are going towards route 7

Start at Route 44 near Wendys and head down the trail towards the phone tower. Up the hill and over another. cross one road and into the power lines one again and you will find that on both sides of power line are a ton of single track "deer trails". The power lines will continue on to Woonsocket. You could spend a week in there finding new trails as I have.
