I'm amazed anybody finds the place with the directions listed. Go to www.fpark@francepark.com There's a map to the park on the HOME page. Ummm, US 24. . .

Please don't sneak in as one post here suggests. We (Hoosier Mountain Bike Association and DINO) Have worked hard to get France Park to trust and welcome mountain bike riders. The result is that the admission fee went down from $7 to $5 in 2004. Still not cheap, but let's show our support for this decision and show France Park we are committed to helping make a better place to ride.

Although this place has great potential as a mountain bike park, the park commission has other ideas. France Park now charges over $7 for trails that they do not maintain. The rangers are lazy, so they only go places where their John Deere Gators will fit. Thus, the singletrack (the best trails) goes without maintenance. Your best bet to ride here is to sneak in through the back entrance. Turn South on the first road East of the main entrance. The road will curve and follow the river. Continue until you find one of several places to pull off. Wear a helmet and the rangers won't bother you. If they do, plead ignorance and give a fake name. It's always worked for me :)

This trail is located off of Highway 24 about 3 miles west of Highway 35,not Highway 26 as is stated on website.Only downfall is the $7.50 to ride.Site also has fishing and a beach.
