I come from the great Northwest where mountain biking really lives up to it's name. But I was pleasantly surprised by the South Florida trails. Oletta is a very technical group of trails. It is full of roots and rocks, hills and whoop-d-doos, bridges and tight turns. Definetely a great place to work on the technical side of off-road riding. A word to the wise though...bring lots of bug repellant and highly recommend shin/knee guards for those not familiar with "root riding."

I ride Oleta several times a month since January of 2007. I have to say that this park really does have something for everyone. Although it may not offer extreme downhill sections, for the obvious reasons, it still can be quite challenging for anyone less than expert. Even then...I know some pros that go in there and still have as much fun as the rest of us non-professional riders. Like they say in theatre...go break a leg! I already smashed the clavicle!!! haha

I ride Oleta about 3 times per week. This park is excellent for Novice and Intermediate levels. The trails offer a lot to develop your stamina as well as skills and technical ability. I began with the Novice trails and have gone onto ride all the intermediate trails of which there are plenty to choose. I have just started to try out some of the advanced areas so will leave my comment on them for now. Oleta is certainly worth the trip if you are in the State of Florida.

Another fun Florida Trail. It is a great place to get some cardio. It also has some technical trial. I most enjoyed Robinson's Ridge, Peaks, and Gilligan's.

My roommate and I recently discovered this park last month and have been riding it about every other weekend now and it is simply great. There are trails ranging from advanced to novice with lots of intermediate trails to choose from. There is a nice mix between smooth rolling trails to tricky short technical climbs. There are lots of roots and sometimes rocks but a great time none-the-less. If you're in the area definately try it out and its easy to find, just follow the signs off of I-95.
