Trail Description:
Starts with a 45 minute grind up a logging road. Then a flat, root and rock infested jaunt until you reach an intersection of trails.Take a right. follow this jeep trail for 1/2 mile and it opens up to a new logging road (all downhill). Keep going down and take the first trail to the right (it's marked). Hang on it's a 2 mile thrill ride of high bank turns and rutts. Take a right at the first trail to the right and you will be back to the logging road you started out on.
How to get there:
From I-5 take the Littlerock exit, go west. Follow until you come to a T in the road, take a right. Go about 2 miles to stop sign. Take a left. In about a mile you'll see a dirt road to the left, take it. Go straight to the road gate and park. Bike up the gravel road to first trail to the right after a 45 minute grind up road.
Additional Notes:
The trail says it is closed after 1 mile because of logging. The logging is done. Go for it.

This whole forest is full of fun trails. The North rim #1 is my favorite. Make sure to go on a dry day, the mud out there turns to slick engine grease when wet!

A group of us ride this trail at least once a month. There is always "something that you can't seem to remember the last time you were there." The trail can get pretty greasy in the wet season (which is year round) the ruts are deep and slick, both dry and wet, when the mud dries there is a fine almost ash like powder on the trail about 1" to 2" deep in spots. Lots of varied terrain, mostly down hill, great skill building switch backs, slate loose rock, roots with up to 3' drops, and there are one or two places were you may need to walk due to mud or greasy short uphill jonts. All in all a great, fast, and fun ride that will keep bringing you back for more mud.
