How to get there:
Take I-5 to exit #133 city center in Tacoma, to highway #509. Take this to Dash Point State Park. Most of the trails are on the campground side of the park but there is at least one nice gem on the beach side.

Additional Notes:
Part of the climb from the beach is up steep trails that most people cannot climb so you will have to hike-a-bike

This trail has definately gotten better over the the last couple of years. There is a great variation of climbs, downhill (if you line the trails right), and stairs to the beach. The local bike shops and riders have made this a place that you can enjoy in 45 minutes, or a ride that can beat you up.

Great riding here! Fun, long trails, some technical stuff like bridges and ramps, and a range for all skill levels. Lots of space to explore. The top end is definitely better, but I usually park at the beach...for convenience. Check it out though. Oh, and it's all dry now. Drier anyway...

Bridges out. Trails deep in mud. Downed trees a hindrance in many locations - some head bonkers. I'm looking for other locations to ride.

This is the first place I ever rode and it is a great place to hone your skills. Lots of roots and technical stuff to practice on. I was on my ass in the bushes most of the first time I rode it. There are some new trails and stunts since last year...bridges, log ride. Couple steep hill (one lovingly called heart attack hill, closely followed by heart murmur hill. Great night ride!! Regular Thursday night ride starting at 7:30 pm meeting in the LDS Church parking lot on Hoyt Road just north of 320th.

Good fun ride...it was pretty muddy but what do you expect in late Dec. I recommend taking some towels or a tarp so you don't trash you car seats. The little log bridge was fun and someone put a little Jesus card on the tree next to it, so we named it Jesus bridge.

I live right next to dash point and i always monitor the trails to see their conditions. Before the drench today the trail was fairly dry with just a few clumpy mud spots scaterring the trails. Not that bad. But the rain has come in and I would suggest that you wait a bit or if you like getting a little dirty their is some trails that are flooded with water.

kinda been a little muddy lately. Hope you don't mind getting dirty! Also, the roots of all the trees are bare and slippery and they are everywhere. There are also some knew ruts from all the water run off. Watch out for these.
