Trail Description:
A small trail by looks only. It has something for seemingly everyone. From the trail head the first 1/4 is very fast and lightly technical at the same time, which approaches the only heavy grade on the trail (I call it the reverse staircase) from there the trail becomes more and more technical but fear not for there are many places to stop and get some water and a sit (benches installed at key points) there is another hill at about the 1/2 way mark that is almost a downhiller's dream, it is THE staircase (for this trail at least) it's a quick ride but who said you can't go more than once.
How to get there:
From Detroit head west on 96 until either 275 or get off on Sheldon, take 275 north and get off on Eight Mile road and head west untill you come to Beck Road and turn left the entrance will be on your right. From Sheldon (where the Ford plant is) go north and take any of the mile roads west (5mile, 6mile, 7mile, or 8mile) and go north on Beck (unless on 8mile)
Additional Notes:
If you cant find it don't be macho. Find a gas station and ask (it's worth it)!

The trail is not very long, or extremely challenging, great for beginners. I usually do the trail two or three times during my stay at the park.

Belive it or not Maybury park is the reason i moved from Inkster to Northville. That somebody (accidently) burned my house down while I was on vacation in Oregon can have someting to do with it too. Anyway I love this park. I can remeber when I was the only one on the trail. This is long gone.
Choose a day with bad weather if you like privacy or a nice day to help girls in distess. It's a great place to meet fit people and don't shout "on your left" when you pass me the next time.

A great trail for single speed biking. Climbs aren't too tough for 32/16 all the way. Bit crowded though.

For anyone who has not been there lately, the trail is now aprox. 6 miles and is awsome. the newer section has a good climb and the trial is just plain fun to ride with some fast sections and some technical sections. The ride itself is only about 30 mins or less once you have done it a few times. Great trail.

Someone has been busy this spring (maybe mmba). Just been back for the first time this year and they have added a ton of new stuff on the second half of the trail. Rock gardens, log piles, and they diverted the trail to the new sections. Unfortunately they didn't make it any longer, that would make it too good to be true. But like the description says, why not do it a couple times.
Have fun, get dirty!

This is a great ride. I have been riding for 7 years and this is my home track. My othere favs are Poto and Pontiac Lake. Maybury is only 4 miles long so its obviously not rhe biggest track in the world but it is really really fun. Theres a little bit of everything here, speed areas, mid size down hills, technica lstuff and lots of tight switchbacks. Its like a Bonzi Tree, tiny in form yet reflecting a giant in its nature with only its size keeping the giant Red Wood at bay. Enjoy and ride it 2 or 3 times a day, its good!

It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail.
Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

Very good track, nicely kept and good for beginners. There are not to many up hill climbs but there are plenty of down hill sections which make for a fast and very exciting ride.

First off, this trail is 4 miles not 5. It is, however a well kept trail that is challenging enough to make it worth your time. It also has the advantage of being entirely wooded so if you loop it repeatedly you don't notice the same landmarks as often and get bored.
