Trail Description:
Rolling singletrack trail. Has short steep uphills and downhills. Very thechnical in places. Great place to polish up your skills. basically 100% singletrack except where it crosses obscure gravel roads.

How to get there:
From Portland, OR go out US Route 26 west to State Route 6 (Wilson River Highway). Follow Highway 6 to the summit of the coast range (1/2hr?) and turn left at the Browns Camp sign. There is a parking lot and the trail begins up a small gravel road right off the gravel parking lot. Usually there are motorbikes around, but they stay off the bike trails. This trail is one of my all time favorites.

good riding - i rode an 8 mile loop out here a few years ago / but the noise was REALLY bad - bad enough that i went elsewhere to ride - the wilson river trail is awesome

We did Storey Burn, Summit, Gravelle and Historic trails this weekend. This is the best mt biking there is. Scenic, buff and technical trails with lots of up/down. Also do Sickler Lars if you want to do some all mountain!

Excellent trails almost year round. Rains and snowmelt make this much tougher in wet months. I recommend waiting for the trails to dry for enjoyment and trail preservation.

There are maps of the trails at http://www.oregon.gov/ODF/TSF/docs/StoreyBurnTrail.pdf http://www.oregon.gov/ODF/TSF/docs/HistoricHikingTrail.pdf Haven’t done it yet but I have heard good things.

Good times! When its wet is more difficult also much more difficult to do trail counter-clockwise. Recommend parking at Rogers camp trailhead as it is less insane than Browns with all of the ATVs

A great trail. There are all kinds of places to explore and this area has a great mix of downhill, obstacles and rolling breaks. Look out for gunfire and motorized vehicles.

Experiencing Browns Camp is a must on a dirtriders todo list. There is a trail for every level of rider. The powerline line road @ full speed is highly recommended!! The campground is well kept & awesome to tear out of first thing in the morning, HMMM, the smell of cycle fuel & coffee.

I just got back from Browns camp several hours ago and can honesly say I havnt had so much fun on my dirtbike in a long time. Im not entirely sure what the names of the trails that I rode, but I found some challenging areas that I ended up dragging my bike up the hill on its side just to make it to the top (200' or so hillclimbs with deep ruts and large rocks) The rocky areas do get rather annoying after awhile so it was sort of fun to bomb around on the fire roads; just look out for stupid kids on tiny motorcycles when you are wide-open in 5th gear =)

I grew up riding motorcycles all around this area. Now I'm a peddle pusher. Literally miles and miles of trail all over the tillamook forest. Motorcycle riders created most of them so some hill climbs will be more than a mountain biker could do, but you could spend all weekend here and not see the same trail twice. And if all your wanting is gravel fire-road rides then theres plenty of that as well. Best spot around for every one.

I've ridden almost all of the mtn bike trails within an hour and a half of Portland, and Brown's camp is my obvious favorite. It has the perfect amount of short uphill and down hill segments, and is constantly switching back and forth (down, up, down, up). Some trails have all the downhills in one section and all the others in another; you don't have to worry about that with Brown's camp. It also has some very technical spots that could not be better for beefing up your technical skills. An awesome trail for all levels.
